Damn you to hell, Chun-Li.
After about 30 mins, my current record is 1-5. Turns out I’m not very good at Super Puzzle Fighter once I start playing other people.

It’s just about time for the annual LAN a friend organizes. The last one I attended was for me, completely overshadowed by unrelated events surrounding it. So for this one, I’m looking forward to getting some gaming with friends in.
The subject to consider now is what we can get people to play. The people who will be attending this year are mostly the same people who played CounterStrike against each other every Tuesday night. As far as I know, nobody’s still playing: it was pretty old even when we were playing it, so it’s not surprising that everyone’s moved on.
But everyone’s moved in different directions. Some moved to WoW, other chose a variety of other shooters or MMOs. It’s difficult to then put everyone in the same garage and ask them to play the same game. I don’t like FPS games with linear objectives, like UT2004’s Assault or Enemy Territory. They bore me to death. I like wide-open games like Battlefield. Others consider those unbalanced with imprecise controls.
So, with that in mind, what would I like to play at this thing?

Bioshock is love. Specifically, the love of setting a psychopath in a bunny mask on fire then smashing him with a wrench.

No, not “birth”. I pick up Bioshock today: I’ll see you all when I come up for air in a week.
