Minor disappointment: Osaka Sushi restaurant on McHenry does not have takoyaki. I mean, sure it’s not sushi, but Osaka’s right there in the name.
Like I said: minor. The nigiri, on the other hand, was quite tasty. I do not reccomend the sweet shrimp if you or your dining companion are squeamish. To demonstrate it’s freshness, it is served with the heads of the animals it came from.

Hey, there’s a new app for my iPhone that makes it easier to update my WordPress blog while I’m out. I wonder if it works? Or if I can add a photo…

Nothing too blogworthy to report, but what the hell:
Been kinda busy. Went to X-Fest (see last four entries) on Saturday, saw Dark Knight on Sunday, did nothing in particular Monday. May be playing a game of some sort tonight. Other movie plans may have been pushed back to next week. I think I have something happening Friday, and my weekend’s open, though I’d like to visit some family I haven’t touched base with for a while. I still have a box of orcs to assemble, bringing my unpainted army total to: 30+ orcs, 20+ goblins, and one giant.
Progress on a D&D game is coming along. I’m still going through the rules at a snail’s pace, but at least one player is looking forward to a Total Party Kill. I may be able to oblige.
And of course, I’m still looking for suggestions as to what I should do with www.monkeycurry.com. This is one of two blogs, so I don’t think I need another one of those. Some kind of community site might be fun, but I don’t have any ideas for that either. Still, monkeys are funny and curry is delicious. There must be a way to realize the potential there.

Well, that was fun. Worth what I paid anyway. It wasn’t quite my scene (which is why I’m home early), but then, what is? A lot of people seemed to be there to get drunk, but given the cost and hassle of accomplishing that, I’m not sure what the point of that is.
I note that I could have purchased beads with which to negotiate viewing tits. I also note that the women who already had beads, tended to have tits I wouldn’t especially care to view. I will ponder this in more detail, uh, never.
Random note: Buying tempura shrimp at a street vendor, for a second, made me think of being in Osaka.
